During this fall our Hack4FI – Hack your heritage! sister events will be organized in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. These national events are supported through a Nordic GLAM cooperation on open cultural heritage data and content. As a part of these hackathons Nordic Innovation has launched Nordic data driven innovation challenge – Hack4Norden 2016.

From each national events a special price for the GLAM track will be awarded by Nordic Innovation where the winner teams receive e.g. professional pitch prep and are sent to Europe’s leading start-up event SLUSH in Helsinki to participate in #hack4norden. DENMARK –  Hack4DK returns September 23rd to 25th, and is calling entrepreneurs, start-ups and creative developers with an interest in culture, open data or the Nordic. HACK4DK is an annual hackathon on cultural heritage, organized by major heritage institutions in Denmark. More info and registration https://hack4.dk/.

SWEDEN – Hack4Heritage  is a creative event and hack with a focus on open cultural heritage data and content. During October 14—16th, the Stockholm City Archives turns into a collaborative space where cultural heritage is given new life through new connections, solutions or art forms. Everyone is welcome! NORWAYHack4no 2016 to kicks off in Hønefoss 28th—29th October. The Norvegian big Open Data hackathon will be hosted by the Norwegian Mapping Authority (Kartverket) and the Agency for Public Management and e-Government (Difi). #hack4no 2016 is expecting more than 500 participants, 250 adults and 250 children and teenagers – including coding clubs, schools, programmers, developers, designers, students, entrepreneurs and other creative minds.
